Why self-control matters more than clever plans

I’ve been thinking about something lately and wanted to hear your opinions. Do you think self-control is actually more important than having a smart plan when it comes to risky decisions? I used to believe that strategy was everything, but now I’m not so sure. Sometimes people with great plans still mess up, while others with average ideas stay consistent and do better over time. Maybe discipline is the real key? What do you think—can habits really outweigh knowledge in the long run?

That’s a really interesting question, and honestly, I lean toward discipline being more important. I recently read an article https://thekenyatimes.com/sponsored/why-discipline-beats-strategy-in-90-of-gambling-scenarios/  that explored this exact idea, and it genuinely changed how I look at things. People tend to underestimate how much their behavior affects outcomes. You can study techniques all day, but if you can’t stick to them or stay calm, it falls apart.
