Maintenance checklist: what every driver should do every 6 months / yearly

Hey everyone, I’m trying to get better about keeping up with my car’s maintenance. I realized the other day that I haven’t checked my brakes or changed the cabin filter in over a year. I feel like I’m probably missing some other stuff too. What do you all usually do every 6 months or yearly to keep your car running smoothly? Any routines you swear by?

I totally get that! I used to just wait for something to break before doing anything, but now I try to follow a simple routine every half-year. I usually check tire pressure, rotate them, look at brake pads, top up fluids, and even give the battery a quick test. Also, I found this Shaky steering https://www.vip-servicecenter.com/services/alignment-service that has a really handy checklist, kind of like a reminder of all the small things people forget. It’s saved me from a few nasty surprises already.
